IS MY ANUA FAKE ?
Recently, I purchased the Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Dark Spot Correcting Serum from this link:

When I received the product, I was alarmed—it seemed fake! I had heard such good things about Anua, so I felt deceived. On social media, there were multiple videos claiming that genuine Anua products have a ring on the dropper neck, but mine didn’t. I contacted the brand through email, and they informed me that they had changed the packaging recently. Still feeling uneasy, I decided to reach out directly to Anua. Unfortunately, it took them nearly 18 days to reply, but when they finally did, their response was both thorough and reassuring. The Anua team explained that due to supply chain issues, they had to use a different packaging supplier for certain batches, which is why some didn’t have the ring.
To my relief, the product was genuine after all!
Now, let me share my experience using the serum, especially in comparison to the Axis-Y Dark Spot Correcting Serum, another popular option. I’d give the Anua serum a solid 9/10, primarily because of its 4% TXA (Tranexamic Acid) ingredient. TXA is known for its brightening and dark spot-correcting properties, and this serum worked like magic for me. After around 25 days, I noticed a real difference in my skin. However, my sensitive skin did react with some purging during the first week. I managed it by using the serum every other day at first, and eventually transitioned to daily use. By sticking with it, I saw not only my dark spots lighten but also some scars fade—something that impressed me deeply.
As for the Axis-Y serum, while it also delivered good results, it took around three months to see noticeable improvements. The upside, though, is that I experienced no purging at all. If you have sensitive skin or are someone who prefers to avoid the purging phase (which varies for everyone), Axis-Y may be a better option for you. However, the longer waiting period might be a drawback for some.
In terms of overall performance, I believe Anua’s formula, with its combination of Niacinamide and TXA, works faster and delivers impressive results, especially if you’re looking to tackle hyperpigmentation or scars.
Korean skincare brands like Anua and Axis-Y are known for their innovation and effective ingredients, but as with any product, it’s essential to do your research and pay attention to small details like packaging. As my experience shows, sometimes brands need to adapt due to external factors like supply chain disruptions, so don’t be quick to assume something is fake without verifying first.
